Make an application for the Alfred Werner SCS Foundation Masters Scholarship in Switzerland. Founded in 2014, the Alfred Werner Fund executes initiatives and tasks of the previous foundation, “Stiftung fur Stipendien auf dem Gebiete der Chemie.”
Alfred Werner was a student at ETH Zurich and later a professor at the University of Zurich. 1913, he was a Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry after introducing the octahedral configurations of change metal complexes.
The SCS Foundation provides many awards for students undertaking Master of Science (MSc) course studies in chemistry or biochemistry at a Swiss University or one of the Federal Institutes of Technology. Candidates for the award must be assigned by the university that accepted them to their MSc courses. There are no direct requests from people.
Candidates accepted for a Master’s course in chemistry or biochemistry will contact their faculty for selection. You are required to be received at one of the following institutions: University of Basel, University of Geneva, Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL), University of Fribourg, University of Berne, University of Zurich, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ).

Qualification
- You must have applied for the Master of Science program in Chemistry or Biochemistry in one of the Swiss institutions listed above.
- Candidates must be students from international nations around the globe who are accepted to partake in the Swiss Institution.
- You must indicate outstanding performance and rank among the top 10 of their bachelor of science courses.
- Be enthusiastic and passionate about chemistry and biochemistry. The program aims to assist skilled students who indicate a unique interest in one of these areas of study.
Application
Please remember that to be deemed eligible, applicants must first apply for acceptance to an M.Sc course at a Swiss institution or Federal Institute of Technology.
You must then apply to the school to sponsor you for an Alfred Werner Scholarship. Your selection must be presented to the foundation by the end of March 2024.
Applicants make no direct requests to the SCS Foundation, and any such request will not be considered.
