Apply for the Croatian Government Scholarships for Foreign Students. The Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia provides grants in association with the Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes.
These grants are provided based on a Bilateral consensus signed between Croatia and many other nations. They can be used for study or research at participating higher education schools in Croatia.
Candidates for the grants are international students, instructors, and study fellows interested in acquiring additional skilled experience in Croatian schools of higher studies or research. Recipients can study or execute studies in any area of study of their choice at any participating Higher education or study institution in Croatia.
These grants are separated into two classes.

Scholarships under this class are devoted to nationals of nations that possess authentic or impactful academic cooperation courses with Croatia or a bilateral consensus signed by the Croatian administration and the applicable ministry of the provided nation or region.
Application Pool Two: Scholarships for Croatian Language Students
These scholarships are devoted to international students registered in Croatian Language and Slavic Studies. Students can apply regardless of whether their nations possess any bilateral consensus with Croatia.

For Undergraduate and Graduate Studies

- Students will get a monthly allowance value of 480 EUR to protect their everyday expenses

- An allowance value of 30 EUR per diem
- You will also get subsidized housing in the student hostel
Summer Seminar
- You will possess total protection of the tuition payment for the program
- Assigned students will also get Free housing and food

Application Pool One: Bilateral Consensus
- Candidates are required to be from nations that have signed a bilateral consensus with Croatia.
- The qualified nations are Belgium, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Turkey, China, Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Romania, Germany, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Hungary, Montenegro, Israel, North Macedonia, Italy, and Kosovo.
Application Pool 2: Scholarships for Croatian language scholars
- Candidates are required to be international students who are presently registered in Croatian language and Slavic research.
- Students can apply regardless of whether their nations possess any bilateral consensus with Croatia.
Other Conditions
- Every candidate is required to be 18 years or older at the start of their mobility in Croatia.
- There is no age specification for candidates for postdoctoral studies visits and the Summer Seminar of Croatian Language and Literature.
- Candidates for bachelor’s research must possess a maximum age restriction of 25 years.
- Candidates for MA programs are required to have a maximum age cap of 30 years.
- Semester studies for Croatian language and Slavic studies students must be A1.
- Candidates for PhD programs are required to have a maximum age cap of 35 years.

Application Pool One: Bilateral Consensus
- Candidates must complete and present their application form and upload the necessary papers using the online application portal.
- Furthermore, they must reach out to their federal schools in charge of the introductory choice of candidates and be assigned to the bilateral grants.
- The assigning school is required to forward through email or post the Nomination Letter for the selected applicant by 31st March 2024

Your application will comprise of the documents below:
- Needed documents in English or Croatian presented by the candidate in the agency’s online application system
- The agency receives a letter of nomination from the international associate school by email or postal address, and it assigns the candidate for the bilateral grants.
Application Pool Two: Scholarships for Croatian language scholars
- Applicants must be selected for the grants by their present Croatian language selector, so it is recommended that you contact your lecturer and demand a nomination via letter of recommendation.
- The candidates must present the letter of recommendation and the remaining application papers via the Agency’s online application system by 5th April 2024.
