Two Canada immigration routes will begin approving PR applications from fresh candidates in January 2024, with a restricted number of spaces. These routes provide permanent residency for candidates satisfying specific provisions and possessing restricted spaces annually.

Caregivers Pilot Programs
The Home Support Caregiver and Home Childcare Provider Pilot are long-awaited schemes with restricted openings annually. These openings are occupied immediately after the programs begin for fresh applications. These two pilot programs possess a total restriction of 5,500 applications in various classifications in 2023.
Again, Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) have lowered the qualification conditions to one year of experience for the In-Canada Caregiver Provider Pilots from their past two years of skills. There are two classifications under the two caregivers pilot, mentioned below.
Obtaining Experience Classification
- This classification is for candidates who have yet to be employed OR possess fewer than two years of skills in any professions under NOC 44100 and NOC 44101. (for caregivers living in Canada, this condition is one year of skills).
- Qualified applicants obtain work permits to compile two years of skills in Canada and can apply for Direct Permanent Residency after obtaining the complete skills and becoming qualified under Direct to PR classification.
To Make Application for a Work Permit, Candidates Requires:
- An authentic full-time employment offer (IMM 5983 E)
- CLB level 5 in English or French (IELTS: reading four and the other modules 4)
- Post-secondary school of a minimum of 12 months.
- Any previous skills or apprenticeship that indicates the applicant can do the job illustrated in the employment offer.
Direct to Permanent Residency Classification
This classification is for candidates if they possess two years or more skills in any profession in the past three years under NOC 44100 or NOC 44101.

Agri-food Pilot
The yearly restriction for another enticing, but with restricted openings, relocation program, Agri-Food Pilot will replace on 1 January 2024. Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) runs a maximum of 2,750 PR applications annually under the Agri-Food Pilot.
This pilot will be prolonged till 14 May 2025, with a fresh adjustment on 18 May 2023. Again, relatives of candidates who have obtained an understanding of the receipt letter are qualified to apply for an open work permit. The Agri-Food Pilot Program offers a route to Permanent Residency for persons with a minimum of 12 months of incremental, non-seasonal, full-time employment in the last 36 months in one or more listed professions.
- NOC 85101 for Harvesting Laborers
- NOC 85100 for Livestock Laborers
- NOC 84120 is for specialized livestock employees and farm machinery operators.
- NOC 82030 for Agricultural service contractors and farm supervisors
- NOC 94141 is for industrial butchers, meat cutters, poultry preparers, and associated employees.
- NOC 65202 for Meat cutters and fish mongers, both retail and wholesale
- NOC 63201 for Butchers, both retail and wholesale
Agri-Food possesses reduced language skills conditions for CLB level 4 in English and French. Regarding academics, just a high school diploma is required, based on the Education Credential Assessment. Canada is currently approving a union reference note in situations where an employer needs to give the skills letter.
