You need to offer this letter even if you do not depend on monetary support from your official monetary sponsor for your next student visa application.

Official Financial Sponsorship to Satisfy the Financial Provisions of a Student Visa Application

Suppose you are making an application for your student visa in the United Kingdom with consent for one year or more on the date of application. In that case, you will satisfy the monetary provisions and will not be required to indicate your funds. You will not be required to demonstrate your official financial sponsorship letter verifying functioning economic support. Hence, you will need written approval if an administrative or foreign scholarship agency supported you for a program concluded in the last year.
