There are two conditions when you must regard official financial sponsorship for a student visa application.
- Obtaining approval from an administrative or foreign scholarship agency for a program concluded in the last year.
- Official financial sponsorship to satisfy the monetary provisions of a student visa application.
Approval From An Administrative or Foreign Scholarship Agency for a Program Concluded in the Last One Year
- In the last year, before your student visa application, have you concluded a program of studies in the United Kingdom?
- If yes, did this scholarship or sponsorship protect payments and living expenses?
- If yes, is it from an administrative or foreign sponsorship agency?
If all of the above is applied, you must offer a letter of approval verifying that your official financial sponsor (the administrative or foreign scholarship agency) approves your student visa application. The letter has to be detailed in confirming approval for the visa application. A student with a visa application is not valid without a letter satisfying the provisions. If you are applying in the United Kingdom and your application is regarded as invalid, this may result in a backdated duration of overstay.
You are required to offer this letter even if you are excluded from the regular monetary provisions or applying under the distinguishing arrangements, and it is optional to indicate your financial documents. You need to offer this letter even if you do not depend on monetary support from your official monetary sponsor for your next student visa application.

Official Financial Sponsorship to Satisfy the Financial Provisions of a Student Visa Application
Suppose you are carrying out a student visa application, and you will be obtaining official financial sponsorship for some or all of your tuition payments and living expenses. In that case, you must offer proof of your student visa application. Only specific organizations can offer Official Financial Sponsorship for a student visa application. These include:
- A foreign organization
- The British Council
- Your home administration
- The UK administration
- A UK independent school
- A university
- A foreign firm
Suppose you do not possess financial sponsorship from one of the listed organizations for the complete fees and living expenses. In that case, you must read about the monetary provisions to demonstrate that they satisfy them in another pattern.

Official Financial Sponsorship Proof Needed For a Student Visa
You must offer proof of your official monetary sponsorship when carrying out your student visa application. If you will receive a scholarship in any university in the United Kingdom, this should be clarified in your Confirmation of Acceptance Of Studies. When you have received your CAS, please check that there is a reference to your scholarship or that your official monetary sponsorship can be verified in a letter. This should be an official letter-titled paper or the stationery of the organization and is required to:
- Have the official stamp of the organization
- Include your name
- Include a statement that your official sponsor will protect all your payments and living expenses, and the judgment makers may anticipate viewing the precise figure of the scholarship you will obtain to make sure it satisfies the UKVI provisions.
- Include the name and data of your monetary sponsor.
- Include the duration of your sponsorship.
- Include the date of the letter.
Suppose your official sponsorship only protects some of your fees and living expenses. In that case, your sponsorship letter must point out the particular sum of funds your sponsor provides you. Wording verifying approval to a student visa application can be attached (if applicable).
Sponsor Only Paying for Parts of the Fees and Living Expenses
Suppose your official financial sponsorship letter does not attach a declaration verifying that your fees and living expenses will be reimbursed entirely and instead describes a certain amount. In that case, you are required to review the monetary provisions to ensure the amount is enough and is the same sum of funds needed by the financial regulations. If the sum is insufficient, you must indicate evidence that you have the remaining funds required in your bank account for the 28 days.
Scholarship Student at the University
If you obtain a scholarship at a university in the United Kingdom, you will not be required to offer the letter as your CAS explains your scholarship.
After Living In the United Kingdom For One Year And Making an Application for a Student Visa in the United Kingdom
Suppose you are making an application for your student visa in the United Kingdom with consent for one year or more on the date of application. In that case, you will satisfy the monetary provisions and will not be required to indicate your funds. You will not be required to demonstrate your official financial sponsorship letter verifying functioning economic support. Hence, you will need written approval if an administrative or foreign scholarship agency supported you for a program concluded in the last year.
